The horses at Sunkissed Acres generally receive countless hours in training, rehabilitation and often extensive Veterinary care. This is in addition to the normal care a horse requires such as housing and feeding. A minimum donation of $300 is suggested when considering adopting a friend from Sunkissed Acres. Many horses are available please contact us right away if you are interested in adoption as we always have wonderful horses awaiting forever homes.

New Arrival 8/28/2010

This sweet horse is an 8 year old stallion. He is a department of Ag surrender that is rehabilitating at Sunkissed Acres. When his condition improves he will be gelded and able to be leave the farm for a new home. We have named him Rufus.

Sven
Sven is an 11 year old pony. He is a stallion but very sweet. Geld him and you will have a gem!

Soloman
Born and bred for barrels, 3 yr old gelding. Not broke. Looking for a home where he will reach his potential. 100% sound.

Mooney
For adoption, Mooney. A gorgeous 13 yr old Palomino Gelding. Big and Beautiful. Mooney rides well, no bad habits, great with kids and animals, loads, leads and farriers. Alas, Mooney is blind but please don’t tell him that. Mooney understands voice commands and has no issues on a pasture or with other horses. A little bit of sensitivity till he adjusts is all that is required. A very well handled horse.

Please, blind is only as much a handicap as you make it. All of our blind folk have continued with a full life like any other. In fact, you don’t know they are blind unless we tell you.

Dez

This horse is available for adoption through a private owner who wants to be sure this nice older gentlemen finds a perfect new home. He was rescued in November of 2009, and was in very poor physical condition.

This is Dez today, looking and feeling so much better! He is wonderful with children and and would make a great family horse.
